December 2012
I was excited when I finally learned the white balance setting & got rid of the 'orange' when shooting inside pics,
so here's a few more experiments.
The skunk smell is almost gone.
I've been coming home after work spraying Febreeze all over the fabrics in the house & lighting candles,
seems to be working.
My dad has been having problems breathing for a few days & it seemed to be getting worse today.
He called the doctor & set up an appt for tomorrow morning, hung up, & he'd never admit it,
but I'm thinking he knew he'd better get there sooner rather than later.
He called back & got in immediately.
After chest x-rays & blood work, they told him to come back in the morning for his appt to speak to the doctor.
He headed home, then got a call back from the doctor's office to come back right away!
They said he has fluid on his lungs - congestive heart failure.
They sent him home w/ 2 meds & a breathing exercise to do during every commercial while watching tv
to help him breath deeply like he needs & should be doing on his own.
He goes back Friday morning & has to watch his weight to see if he's retaining more water...
his legs are swollen, too.
Please say a few prayers for my dad... Thank you!

I will pray for your dad. I want to try to give you a little encouragement here. I worked with a woman who is 63 and also had congestive heart failure. She continues to retain water and her legs swell. She was told she had fluid around her lungs over a year ago. She also has asthma and is about 100 pounds overweight. They would not operate on her unless she lost 50 pounds, which she won't even try to lose. I just wanted you to know that she has been living with this for a year with little treatment for it.
My grandma had that too, but I don't remember much about the treatment for it. Prayers going up for your dad- he's so lucky to have a caring daughter to encourage him to do those breathing treatments!

I like your Route 66 sign.
Hope you Dad is feeling better soon with his med n treatment. His condition can be controled by meds, so that is encouraging. I like the inside photos...they all turned out great!
